Welcome to Creative African Nexus (“CANEX”), a platform designed to empower creatives in the music film, and fashion industries to showcase their talents, collaborate with peers, find opportunities, and attend events. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the CANEX platform and its services.

Acceptance of Terms

a. By accessing or using the CANEX platform (“the platform”), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are Responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. 

b. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS, YOU ARE PROHIBITED FROM USING OR ACCESSING THIS PLATFORM. The materials contained in this platform are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
c. The platform is owned and operated by Africa Export-Import Bank (“Afreximbank”). Our head office is 72 (B) El- Maahad El-Eshteraky Street –Heliopolis, Cairo 11341, Egypt.

Disclaimer
a. The materials/information on the platform are provided “as is”. Afreximbank make no warranties, express or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. 

b. Afreximbank does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on the Platform or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to the Platform.

Limitations
In no event shall Afreximbank be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials/information on the Platform, even an authorised representative of the owners of the Platform has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

User Registration
To access certain features of the platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account information up to date.

User Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Afreximbank CANEX Team immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

User Content
By uploading content to the platform, including portfolios, projects, and opportunities, you grant Afreximbank a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your content for the purposes of operating and promoting the platform.

Waiver and Indemnity
You hereby release Afreximbank’s partners, officers, agents, servants, contractors, employees, and representatives from any and all liability arising out of the exercise of the User Content hereby granted. You also agree that you will make no claim related to the use of the content, including, without
limitation any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of the content.
You also waive the right of prior approval for the use of the content and hereby release Afreximbank from all claims for damages of any kind based on the use of the content or any information provided. I understand that content once disclosed by Afreximbank may be re-disclosed by the recipient, and this re-disclosure may no longer be protected by law.

Collaboration and Hiring
CANEX provides features to facilitate collaboration and hiring among users. However, CANEX does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or legality of user-generated content, projects, or job opportunities. Users are solely responsible for verifying the credentials and qualifications of other users before
engaging in any collaboration or hiring arrangement.

Funding Opportunities
CANEX may provide information about funding opportunities, grants, sponsorships, or other financial resources for creatives. However, CANEX does not endorse or guarantee any funding opportunitys, availability, suitability, or success. Users are responsible for conducting their due diligence and
evaluating the terms and conditions of any funding opportunity.

Events
CANEX may organize or promote events, workshops, seminars, or other gatherings for creatives. Participation in these events is subject to additional terms and conditions, which will be communicated to users separately.

Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided on the CANEX platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio, and video clips, are the property of CANEX or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to use, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content from the CANEX platform without prior written consent.

Termination
CANEX reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without cause and without prior notice. Upon termination, your account and all associated data may be permanently deleted.

Changes to Terms
CANEX reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the CANEX platform. Your continued use of the platform after the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
